All-inclusive puppy plan

At 3 weeks of age, kittens should visit the vet for the first time to get used to the practice, so that they are as relaxed as possible during veterinary examinations from an early age. The first worming treatment is also given at this appointment.

At 8 weeks, your cat will receive its first vaccinations. It will also receive its first parasite prophylaxis against ticks, fleas, lice, and mites, as well as another worming treatment. Your cat can now also be microchipped so that it is safely identified for life and can be found more easily if lost. Your vet will also issue an EU pet passport.

At 12 weeks, the second vaccination will take place, preceded by a health check.

At 16 weeks, the third vaccination is given after a health check. Now is the time to consider spaying female cats. Your vet will advise you on spaying and the options for regular parasite prevention and deworming.

All-inclusive Junior Plan

At 6 months old, your cat is already a junior. It's time for a health check with advice on regular dental care, parasite prevention, and deworming. Now is also a good time to consider neutering your male cat. Your vet will advise you on this.

Further health checks take place at 9 and 12 months. Parasite prevention and deworming are always included.

Cats are fully grown between twelve and 15 months. At 15 months, your cat's basic immunisation is completed with a fourth vaccination. A prior health check and regular parasite prevention and deworming are also included.

Be healthy, stay healthy

Your cat is now an adult. From the age of 2, you should schedule a preventive care appointment with your veterinarian every six months. Preventive care for adult cats consists of:

  • Clinical examination
  • Dental check
  • Prevention against fleas, ticks, lice, and mites
  • Worming
  • Up-to-date vaccinations
  • Weight check
  • Individual feeding advice

From the age of 10, your cat is considered a senior and should continue to be taken to the vet for a check-up every six months. This consists of:

  • Clinical examination
  • Teeth check
  • Blood test
  • Urine test
  • Blood pressure check
  • Eye examination
  • Thyroid gland palpation
  • Prevention against fleas, ticks, lice, and mites
  • Worming
  • Upcoming vaccinations
  • Weight check with body condition scoring (BCS) and muscle condition scoring (MCS)
  • Individual feeding advice

With the additional examinations, diseases of the kidneys, thyroid, liver, or eyes that occur frequently in old age, as well as high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus (=diabetes), can be detected and treated at an early stage.

Super Senior Check

At the age of 15, your cat is a super senior. From now on, an additional blood pressure check should be carried out every quarter between the six-monthly senior check-ups.
